Leadership
By providing opportunities for members to develop their leadership
and management skills, increase membership by 25% (7 new members) and increase
membership participation to 50%.

of the qualifications and achievements of women engineers and the opportunities

Strategic Plan Fiscal Years 1999-2003
There is an urgent need for engineers and other technical professionals
to support the nations growing technological demands. The Society of Women
Engineers (SWE) provides active, imaginative and effective programs and
partnerships for the career development of women engineers. SWE also encourages
the pursuit of technical education and career skills. The Mission, Objectives
and Strategic Priorities described herein provide the framework for Society
projects, programs and partnerships, while the Values section describes
the guidelines for the conduct and behavior of the Societys members.
