NIS PROJECTS
The
NIAR/Industry/State (NIS) program was created in 2004 as a way to
help the Kansas aviation industry compete in a global economic environment.
The program is executed by industrial representatives through an executive
committee composed of representatives from Boeing, Bombardier-Learjet,
Cessna and Raytheon. Each year the state-funded program awards NIAR
faculty members with projects that will help Kansas in this globalization
process. Examples of projects including the following:
- Potting Compound
Strength/Density Enhancement
-
Network
Based Aviation Security
-
NDE
Simulations of Aircraft Structure
