Current Openings:
Research Technician
NIAR is seeking a candidate for the position Research Technician. To be considered for the position, applicants must provide a resume and three professional related references. In addition, the applicant must complete an on-line application. Deadline for receipt of applications is March 19, 2010. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check as required by the Board of Regents policy.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of employment.
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field and/or 3 to 12 years related experience.
- Be willing to work flexible hours at relatively short notice.
- Must have successful experiences with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Have direct experience working with and installing aircraft passenger and crew seating and associated hardware.
- Experience working with and around Anthropomorphic Test Dummies (ATDs) including calibration of ATDs.
- Experience working with physical test apparatus such as load cells, accelerometers, etc.
- Experience working in an aircraft environment.
- Experience working with hand and pneumatic shop tools.
- Flexible with working hours and shifts.
- Experience working with demanding customers.
- Possess a helpful, “can-do” attitude.
